"First Day" of Holiday
So... Today's the true first day of holiday, because the last few weeks were spent rotting away either in camp/school/some LT/whatever. Guess it was quite mundane, apart from a small First Aid Competition Plan and some Chinese homework, both of which were completed in quite a short amount of the time. The rest of the time was spent on reading, piano, reading, piano, anime, anime, anime, cards, reading, piano, you name it (facebook >.<). And that sums up my day.
Stein's Gate is awesome :) I approve of mad scientists, because I am a hybrid musician/scientist/mathematician/melancholic, so I'm technically a bit bonkers :P
Yay.

Meh
Today is really *insert title here*. Pretty uneventful, and I spent most of my time drilling my piano skills, watching anime online, playing small games on Facebook and the like. I also had a ~1.5 km run-dash-walkathon so that I won't fare too badly for NAPFA next year (yes people you must start early).
Well at least I have a lab session, a photoshoot and CCL to look forward to next week :/ On a side note, I must start work on Maths and other competition preparation tomorrow.
じゃね!

Sudden Inspiration
Merely 8 stanzas this poem shall be. (It's not poetic. It's more "technical".)
The Veins of Countries
The clear precipitation,
Falling from the grey yonder,
With a 9.81 acceleration,
Blends into the blue-green meanders.
As the meanders swirl,
Escaping to the rivers' cliffs,
Forming eddies which twirl,
Ending on the plains of pity.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
So... 'twas the last day of school and I wasn't even in school. I was at VOX. Anyway, it turned out that some fun things transpired in school while we were away :/ (We won champions for VOX even though we were perhaps the most unenthusiastic, stone-faced team among the rest of the schools. Still quite happy with the last day, with the "sight-seeing" and so on, while video-taping people on the side)
Yep, so I conclude my third ACADEMIC (note the academic, I'm not done with other aspects yet) year in Raffles Institution with somewhat a bang I suppose, and so, no regrets there. What I do hope for in the next year (Gap year) is, with luck, a successful allocation of activities that I prefer, instead of being pushed into uninteresting activities due to limited vacancies.
And with this, good luck :)

VOX
So... VOX! What is VOX? It is this reporter cum newspaper writer cum show host workshop cum competition, and VOX stands for Visual, Originality and X-Factor (Nope not the American style).
It was quite fun except that it was super long, and long duration things inexorably lead to... you guessed it, boredom. Well, I learnt some stuff, had fun using a better camera to take pictures, listened to presentations by a newspaper writer and a DJ on being a show host and being a newspaper writer.
Sure sure, it was enriching, opened our eyes, gave us new insights, the usual answer. But still, it became somewhat mundane towards the end. Well, at least the 'tea' break was timely.

Let's hope the second day is more fun :/

Looking Back
Looking back, I found that I was actually VERY immature. Oh well. Serves as a laugh anyway :D
Review of Grades
English: 3.6. Hope that it will remain that way after they clear up the debate discrepancy and remarking of question 11(b) of the EOY comprehension paper. The 11/20 for summary was pathetic, but I suppose it was expected after generalising so much :/
Chinese: 3.2. I suppose I must buck up a lot, but it was expected. Well, I couldn't exactly get a 3.6, even though I got a high 3.6 for paper 1, because of the depressing 65/110 for paper 2. *Rage*
Geography: 3.6. I pledge to read my notes earlier and snag a 4.0 next year. The EOY left me feeling scammed by the essay question.
Social Studies: 3.6. From the above two humanities, we have learnt that it is important to list examples, failing which will result in abysmal marks.
Mathematics 1 and 2: Both 4.0. George, you must maintain this.
Physics: 4.0. Must read question carefully before answering. Oh yes and reduce s.f. d.p. errors.
Chemistry: 4.0. Must have 3 s.f. Could have gotten a nicer looking mark -.-
Biology: 4.0. Must use common sense. Especially for the panting and rete question.
French: 2.4. By far the most depressing. A LOT OF WORK IS REQUIRED ON THIS. I shall read French newspapers everyday and remug my Secondary 2 and 3 stuff because of this mark that causes an eyesore. Oh yes and watch French movies.
Philosophy: A+. Yay this is a subject that should be used to replace grades too, in my opinion, because it is too fun. Pity this is the last year most of our batch is taking this as a subject.
Overall, the results are within expectations (at least for me), and my GPA should be 3.8, unless something bad happens to my English marks (like the system crashing or something), which should pull me down to lowest 3.75. Hmm. I'm quite satisfied actually. Now I can watch anime and do CCA stuff guilt-free. And blog. OMG super long post.

Subjects
Back to blogging. Today was kind of eventful, with our valedictorian speeches. It was quite fun and made me realise that I am more confident presenting to a whole auditorium of people as opposed to 10 other people. Ironic, isn't it? What's also ironic is us as Chinese doing badly for well, HCL, which makes us really wonder whether it is us that cannot make the cut or a blatant flaw in the system. I mean, what's full marks if NO ONE can reach it?
Moving on, the marks for Geography were expected. In fact, it somewhat exceeded my expectations, given the fact that I felt very unconfident about that one test. Oh well.
Let's see what happens tomorrow. I sincerely hope I didn't mess up anything.

Revive
Ok dear readers, today is the day that I revive this blog. So tomorrow is Biology EOY, and I can't help but keep thinking that I shaded something wrongly in my Chemistry EOY in my OTAS sheet. Sigh. Really hope that I didn't anything wrong, or else there goes like 30/50 X 40 = 24% of my marks for the year.
Let's leave this post here until I get back my papers, and I'll divulge the truth :/
Here's a toast to a successful Biology EOY paper, and good luck.
